TED Talk from Dan Cobley: What physics taught me about marketing

by Scott Hoffman on September 24, 2010

Dan Cobley is a marketing director at Google, and in July of 2010 he gave this great TED talk.

Physics and marketing don’t seem to have much in common, but Dan Cobley is passionate about both. He brings these unlikely bedfellows together using Newton’s second law, Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle, the scientific method and the second law of thermodynamics to explain the fundamental theories of branding.

An interesting note – if you take a look at the comments below the Video on the TED Site, you can clearly see that there is a lot of bias against marketing in the “enlightened” world of the the people who formed a community around the TED Talks.
